[Aerospace] Country Director – Vietnam

British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam is supporting a UK supplier in aerospace industry to recruit a Country Director in Vietnam. The chosen candidate will lead the company’s efforts to establish a profitable business base in Vietnam from which can progressively build in the coming years by attracting and supplying new customers and by offering additional products and services.
The Country Director will be the face of the company in the region and will directly interact with customers at all levels, suppliers, partners, and colleagues located around the World.
* Main Activities:
- Act as a liaison between the Customers & the technical teams to resolve any issues that could result in a supply disruption or a commercial issue.
- In line with growing business volumes progressively recruit, mould and lead a Vietnam team that is fully able to meet the demands of the marketplace and that is capable of delivering the highest possible levels of customer service in line with the company’s performance culture.
- Working with the company’s Customers located in Vietnam to identify their accurate demand profile and then communicating this to the company/suppliers in a professional manner to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and that complete continuity of supply is secured.
- Identifying new potential customers, with the support from the Global Sales Teams, and then making contact to introduce the company with the intent of securing new business opportunities that match the company’s strategy and capabilities.

- Highly Numerate with the ability to analyze data and identify anomalies and trends
- Excellent Presentation Skills – in written form and in person
- Degree level education
- Fluent in English
- Strong Management skills – experience with leading a small multi-functional team
- Had exposure and some interaction with the procurement functions
- Some proven sales experience
- Technical Knowledge – the ability to read and interpret drawings and part specifications
- Degree level education
- Aerospace & Defence desired but not essential
- Versatility reflecting the broad nature of the role
- Worked within a service/distribution environment
- Previous roles will have had an element on international collaboration & communication
- Had previous Team Management experience
* Remuneration: Gross salary range: 4,800 – 6,000 USD
