Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, organization, coordination and supervision of the activities of Fitness Centre, responsible for the overall activities of the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool, through the positive work attitude, and self-motivation to manage internal staff, be able to manage work flow under less supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)
Administrative Responsibilities
• Ensure the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool are in a safe and clean condition at all times.
• Ensure the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool normal operation of the business hours.
• Be instrumental in staff training, development and service standards.
• To handle guest feedback/complaints and to ensure effective guest recovery process is implemented.
• Ensure Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool operate at maximum efficiency at all times.
• Eliminate unsafe hidden danger inside the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool. To ensure cleaning and hygiene standards comply with governmental rules and regulations.
• To ensure that all things in accordance with the provisions of the standard;
• All operations management of the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool
• In accordance with standard enterprise culture of group of New World hotel to implement all the works
• Be visible and accessible to all members and guests.
• Specification and unity within the department;
Guest Satisfaction
• Ensure the tracking system in place to capture the guest preferences.
• Manages customer feedback effectively, uses guest issues and compliments to activate long term improvements in products and services.
• Open to new initiatives which can enhance the guest experience.
• Ensure all Recreations team quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied.
Finance
• Receive and submits all invoices to the purchasing / cost controller for goods purchase
• Maximises employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
• Ensure an efficient and effective use of the resources within the department
• Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping and licensing are adhered to.
• Follow up strictly with stock control procedures
Operations
• Daily inspection, record the shortcomings and adjust immediately
• Introduces all activities and facilities of the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool to its patrons.
• Establishes good public relations with all users of the facilities of the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool
• Ensures that all equipment is proper maintained and in excellent working order at all times.
• To be familiar with all equipment within the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool
• Always ensures that associates working within the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool are neat, in the correct attire and ready to perform their utmost at all times.
• Attends any training required, both technical and practical in operating the equipment and being able to get the maximum out of all equipment located within the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool
Human Resources
• Ensures that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.
• Review the weekly work schedules, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.
• Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all recreation team associates. making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
