Associate Data Scientist (Data Platform)

• Research and develop AI tools to automatically detect abnormal security events (for example: detect personal computers infected malware, detect compromised servers, detect malware traffic…).
• Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: 
• Review daily log data gathered from various resources such as process list, network traffic, DNS, web access logs,... and try to investigate vulnerable and unvulnerable patterns 
• Identify possible intrusion attempts or other anomalies (unknown attacks) 
• Filter non-threatening events for reducing false alarms. 
• Develop machine learning model to present trustworthy activity, and then any new behavior (unknown attacks or outliers) will be compared against this model
• This problem is quite challenge not only because the lack labelled data but also due to its restricted requirement (the false alarm rate always must be very low to be considered acceptable in practice)
  

• Solid background in Mathematics and Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of Machine learning and statistics.
• Experiences in deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch,...)
• Proficient machine learning toolkits on data analyzing and modeling (Sklearn, Pandas, ...)
• Familiar with computer security concepts and having experiences in working with graph tools (Neo4j or other graph databases) are big advantages.
