Automation QA Engineer (Web Apps)

The Automation QA Engineer will be in charge of the Quality Assurance of Web-based applications, SAP ERP and work directly with our stakeholders in the US to provide support for Simpson Strong-Tie’s application development.

• Support Testing of the web/desktop applications which developed by Simpson IT development team


• Develop automation framework components in order to reduce test cycles and overall time to market


• Own automation test script development and execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensure that proper test result documentation and processes are followed as per the test strategy


• Be responsible for all aspects of testing and Quality Assurance thru the full project lifecycle (from Blueprinting through Implementation)


• Create software QA test automation plans, build automation framework. Contribute to developing and maintaining a repository of regression automation test cases


• Assist with integrating test automations with the continuous integration build environment


• Oversee the creation and execution of test cases and test scripts


• Perform Daily / Weekly / On-demand report to QC leader the progress and status of the assigned tasks

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant majors


• Attain at least3yearsof experience as a QC/Tester, and1 yearin Automation testing (Selenium)


• English skills are equivalent to TOEIC 600, and can communicate well in English (verbal and non-verbal)


• Experience in designing test strategies and end-to-end test scenarios and estimating test efforts


• Be able to use test automation framework tools to automate testing


• Aptitude to develop test automation frameworks or to use test automation framework tools to automate testing


• Acquire fundamental knowledge of C#/.NET, Java, HTML and CSS


• Independence, abilities to work effectively as a team member with a minimum of supervision


• Being familiar with using Micro Focus UFT/ QuickTest Pro tool is preferrable
