AVP, Account & Valuation (GCB6)

In this role, you will:

1. Direct supervision of day-to-day operations related to the fund valulation.

• Handle all feedback/complaints from clients by giving quality of service and escalate any serious issue to line manager.  
• Provide returns to clients, regulators on timely manner.
• Ensure all regulatory reporting is done correctly and all commitments given in the Operating Memorandum (OM) are met.

2. Maintain awareness of Group Compliance Policy and Operational risks

• By ensuring strict compliance with HSS FIM, Local regulations on funds and custodian banks operations, Fund’ charter and OM agreed with the client and the regional support team.
• Keep fully updated and be aware of all compliance policy.
• Actively provide feedback for any operation issue may lead to risks and suggest solutions to protect the bank interest.

3. Ensure day-to-day operations/  process runs smoothly and daily procedures are in place for fund valuation. Provide the highest standard of service to FS clients.

• Ensure regular update of work procedures and monitoring daily/monthly/quarterly tasks to meet the requirements from clients and their interests are fully protected with regard to fund accounting, valuation
• Ensure all corporate actions are properly informed to clients and related parties.
• Recommend for automation of operational processes wherever possible.
• Ensure efficient operation of fund accounting, fund administration by closely working with FS Regional support team, internal/external sections.
• Coordinate closely with local Compliance/regional team in review of Fund charter to identify any operational and compliance issues.
• Study/check OM and other documents prior to execution.
• Co-ordinate for account set-up, security code request.
• Ensure workflows/process is properly agreed with the client and Sales RM.

4. Assist Line Manager to maintain suitable tasks assignment to staff and identify qualified individuals.

• Recommend training needs and suitable training program for staff in fund valuation
• Ensure proper coaching new staff
• Supervise and monitor day-to-day staff’s performance and their workload
• Ensure training of backup person/backup plan and acting as first backup for other supervisor role

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements: 

• 3-5 years of experience in banking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese)
• Basic accounting knowledge and computer literacy
• Certificate of completion of securities courses would also be an advantage.
• Knowledge of securities market would be an advantage
• Supervisory skills can be obtained through internal training
