Back-end Developer (PHP, NodeJS, OOP)

Mission:

• Develop a high performance website for users to listen to audio content and for creators to publish and promote audio content
• Build frameworks to easily manage both audio and text content for the website, from building out a backend where people can upload, edit, and manage their audio content to frontend services where listeners can discover, share, and engage
• Main content categories:
  • Podcasts
  • Digital Radio
  • TV / Reality shows (video media that can be consumed when audio only)
  • Online Education
  • E-books, Audio-books

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy websites from scratch using proven web tech (eg, React Native, Angular, Vue, custom Wordpress)
• Oversee back-end server deployment (AWS, Node.js)
• Write clear and maintainable code
• Work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment where you will contribute to all important decisions
• Contribute ideas and product features
• Collaborate with front-end team to ensure smooth integration between the backend
• Collaborate with the whole team, from engineers to designers to content producers
• Ensure cross-browser and multi-platform compatibility

Requirements:

• Fluent in Vietnamese
• Proficient in English, enough to interact with management and key team members
• At least 2 years of experience developing web apps and web services
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: ReactJS, JavaScript core, NodeJS, above PHP 5.0 with Wordpress CMS.
• Strong OOP, SOLID principles.
• Strong knowledge about AWS, Docker.

Good to have:

• Started a podcast before or want to start one!
• Passion for audiobooks, podcasts, and audio content
• Knowledge of UI and UX principles and graphics design
• Prior startup experience - and desire to operate in high growth, fast paced environments
• Knowledge of front-end for both mobile and web. We are on React Native and we also use wordpress / php for our website
• Experience with CMS tools (Wordpress, Drupal, Magento, DNN, etc)
