We have an exciting opportunity for a Back-end Software Engineer who would like to join a fast-growing, learning-friendly and International working environment. You will join the technology team in Vietnam and work closely with the product owner/ technology lead in Singapore. You will be responsible for the back-end development of the digital education platform for students and curriculum developers, based on architecture design and DevOps processes. Your inputs and recommendations on architecture design, coding practices and DevOps process will be highly valued and expected. For this role you will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, and may be required to travel to Singapore for business trips. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team with members located in Singapore and Vietnam.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the education platform back-end development for both students and curriculum developers
  • Develop the platform based on functional and design specifications
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner/ Tech Lead on the platform architecture/ features design
  • Perform unit and integration testing, troubleshooting and debugging
  • Work with established DevOps tools/ workflows and recommend improvements

Yêu cầu công việc


Are you an experienced Back-end Software Engineer with experience working on JavaScript based platforms? Do you have an excellent understanding of software (development) life-cycle principles? Are you an eager learner, able to work independently as well as in a team? And are you ready to work in an International environment? If so, you may be our new team member!

Must haves

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Four to five plus years experience as a back-end or full-stack software engineer or related
  • Proficient in back-end programming using Express and NodeJS
  • Experience with relational databases, preferred PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team as well as independently
  • Likes a challenge, good time management skills and team player
  • Great English language communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to haves

  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience working in the Education industry or on EduTech products
  • Experience setting up and/or improving DevOps processes (incl. AWS)
  • Having worked in an International environment
