Backend Dev (NodeJS/JavaScript/MongoDB)

As a Backend Developer, you should be comfortable around back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries and be a team player. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.
We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer capable of taking over the architecture and advising on the technical direction of the platform, to achieve our business goals and to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. This is a great opportunity to join a startup and evolve within the company with a view to leading the tech and ultimately hiring and managing a team of developers.
Responsibilities:

Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Create security and data protection settings
Write effective APIs
Write technical documentation
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

Requirements:

Min 3-5 years of experience, ideally at a fast growing startup / growth stage company
Strong organizational and project management skills
Familiarity with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server would be a plus
Attention to detail
Bonus skills (nice to have): Unity 3D, knowledge on WebRTC
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge with JavaScript frameworks such as NodeJS and ExpressJS
Degree in Computer Science (preferred)
