Backend Engineer(Ruby)

We are looking to hire candidates for the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate product ownership with developers, product/project managers.
• Provide assistance and advice on the definition of system requirement and system design
• DevOps of various services, and partner solutions
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior members

Must-have:

• Ability to communicate fluently in English or Japanese
• Experience in developing web-based applications using Ruby
• Experience in multiple web frameworks (fluent in at least 2 of the following: Laravel, CakePHP, Symfony, Ruby on Rails, Django, etc.)
• Experience in designing and tuning complex database
• Experience in designing and implementing asynchronous processing using background worker processing

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in front-end development using Sass, TypeScript, Transpiler, etc.
• Experience in improving legacy code, and working with REST API
• Experience in pair programming and/or mob programming
• Experience in working with cloud computing such as AWS
