Bbgv Vacancy Notice – Executive Director

Due to the relocation of the incumbent we are looking for a successor to lead BBGV full time staff and operations, through exciting and challenging times, leading our 4 elements of the organization, namely:
•Secretariat – Chamber Activities – Role includes leading a staff of 10-12 to coordinate British Business Group of Vietnam’s regular events and activities, including the annual Fun Run for Charity in HCMC, and implementing the strategies to enable the Chamber to grow as it supports BBGV members in Vietnam.
•Business Centre – Department for International Trade relationship and activities – This includes liaising with potential UK exporters to Vietnam, helping them gain understanding of the market and choosing the best strategy for their market access.
•British Advocacy Committee – high level strategic business government interactions – influencing government policy and priorities – Supporting the members of the BAC to support their business
•Charity – Conducting due diligence, and communicating with, potential recipients of BBGV Charity Funds, and disbursing funds raised through BBGV charity events, for Vietnam charities and charitable causes.
The role requires an experienced leader who has experience managing cross cultural teams, membership focus, growing members and sponsorship income streams, experience in digital communications implementation and operation as well as networking and public speaking skills. The selected individual will lead the team and be based in the head office in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as require travel to interact and collaborate with the Hanoi chapter and operations. Occasional travel regionally and to the UK will be required as well.
Reporting: The role reports to the elected Officers of the Organisation and Board.

•Fluent in English, both written and spoken
•5 years management experience ideally in Vietnam or another ASEAN economy
•Eligibility for Work Permit
Salary: $5,000 Gross per month inclusive of insurance and housing allowance. Performance Related Bonus of up to two months for beating KPI and deliverables.
