Position Summary

The IT Business Applications Analyst is responsible for the operational support, maintenance, and development activities for the resort, casino and back-office business applications. The position combines operational support responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise. The analyst is responsible for application performance management, continuous service improvement, quality assurance and application security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assesses user needs to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities in order to take advantage of available tools

Supports the release process for applications which includes effective department wide and end user communication

Creates testing scripts and identifies opportunities for improvement

Maintains security settings and User setup for all Information Technology applications used within the organization

Measures performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all IT Applications team members

Develops relevant metrics, measures and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities in collaboration with peer groups

Participates in the IT strategic planning process

Works closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies

Ensure department adheres to policies and procedures that are compliant with industry and regulatory policies

Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in the area of application integration in the resort casino industry

Maintains a strong understanding of technology and its application to achieve business objectives

Prepares analysis and or proposals for other enterprise departments when necessary

Serves as an internal consultant to other IT management staff and operations community as needed

Yêu cầu công việc

Five or more years of professional experience in the Information Technology field in a business applications role preferably in the hospitality industry with three or more years of professional experience in the Information Technology field in a casino resort preferred.

Working knowledge in database management and database management tools, database management certifications preferred.

Working knowledge in SQL query based report writing, SQL certification preferred

Good communication skills in English

Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet and Active Directory setup and protocols

Working knowledge of standard applications used in an integrated Resort/Casino environment.

Technical degree/certifications in Information Technology required. Four year degree in Information Technology or related business field is preferred

Strong knowledge of business application development in C#.net with SQL Server, ASP.NET (Web form), Web API, testing

Experience in a variety of data integration technologies – ETL, flat files, XML, SOAP, etc is preferred.
