Civil Engineer

Create designs that utilize a variety of materials and construction techniques.
Forecast design and construction time frames.
Work on and complete asset repair and maintenance programs.
Complete breakdown analysis and prepare reports.
Complete project QA inspections and reports.
Inspect project sites to ensure they meet relevant codes and are progressing properly.
Analyze photographs, drawings and maps to inform the direction of projects and prepare budget estimates.
Prepare project feasibility studies and continually evaluate options and design practicality
Communicate with team members and suppliers to ensure fit for purpose product selection.
Perform and adjust quantity calculations for practical and budgetary purposes.
Be part of the company engineering team that plans, designs and implements engineering projects.
Actively engage in learning about new systems and processes to ensure the company remains at the cutting edge of technology uptake.
Undertake work place health and safety training and effectively manage safety on site.

Demonstrable experience with construction work.
Have ability to use a range of software packages including CAD systems and Microsoft suite of business software.
Working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Regulations
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

Demonstrate ability to learn and understand.
Have a basic understanding of Agri-Business in Vietnam.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
In-depth knowledge of Vietnam’s labor laws.
Ability to speak and write English.
Have a working knowledge of engineering projects, construction techniques and procurement processes
Be very people oriented and results driven.
Degree in Engineering or related field.
Proven working experience as an engineer

Annual bonus is payable after qualifying period (usually 12 months) depending on personal and company performance.
We are open to having the successful applicant work from home and commute to site from Hanoi (or similar location) for 2 - 3 days per week whilst performing some duties from home at other times to make up a full time position.
Starting at VND 8m / month or above depending on qualifications and experience
Annual pay rise is usual depending on personal and company performance. Normally assessed.
