• Ensure procedures are in place within the establishment for the investigation and reporting of health and safety issues
• Maintain accurate records of safety audits, analyzing health and safety deficits in the environment, and take necessary action to overcome problems and prevent and control risks
• Handle all communication concerning occupational health and safety and inform the Asst. HR Manager of the day to day issues
• Monitor staff adherence to workplace health and safety procedures
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of occupational health and safety issues
• Liaise closely with Department heads to ensure that all occupational health and safety aspects to the hotel are well planned and coordinated to achieve maximum impact
• Involve in every activity of Human Resources
• Ensure input into the orientation and induction of new staff including training in techniques of safe manual handling and identification and prompt reporting of health and safety risks

Qualifications
• Diploma in occupational health or related field.
Experience
• 1 year of relevant experience or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Required Skills
• Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Good writing skills
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
