Data Engineer

- Data Warehouse + BI System Management, Enhancement and Modifications (70%)

• Collect and analyze user feedback on issues and enhancement opportunities related to DWH/ BI tools and business processes.

• Collaborate with IT to propose and align on initiatives needed and solutions to system/database/DWH/BI tools/ process enhancements and modifications with stakeholders to meet new business requirements and to execute them.

• Ensure that DWH/ BI tools work stably as the final data keeper by proactively working with other data source keepers if any issue, thru aligned business/ system/ and data processes.

• Manage DWH/ BI system as a whole, in term of Database Management/ Data Set/ Data Models/ BI Tools/ Standard Dashboards & Reports/ System & Data Processes.

• Develop ETL package to blend/ process/ transform multiple- source data to desired data set for building data model.

- Data Analysis Role (30%):

• Co-ordinate with departments i.e. Finance / Revenue / Logistics / … to understand data/reporting request and take initiatives in developing new processes, templates for reporting.

• Design BI reports and performance measurement dashboards to share with clients and management team.

• Daily/Weekly/Monthly performance analysis to monitor the performance of business, to locate risk and to discover potential business opportunities.

• Perform ad-hoc business analysis, to drill down on certain business challenges, providing conclusions and advice based on data analysis.

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistic, IT or related field.

- At least 03 years experience in BI system (Pentaho BI, Metabase, Power BI, …) and Analytical tool (R, Python, Excel, …)

- Knowledge in database programming or design skills, including relational database skills (SQL, Postgres, etc.)

- Exposure to emerging open source technologies is preferred

- Good number sense, logical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.

- Acceptable English communication.
