Data Engineer

You will be joining the tech team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Experience with data science or machine learning (ML) or artificial intelligence (AI) is a plus
Coming up with creative ideas to use our data to gain a competitive advantage
Supporting and training other team members in areas where you have more expertise
Building and refining a pricing algorithm based on data from previous journeys
Interrogating the data to glean insights that help with corporate decision making
Building systems for storing and organising our data
Using appropriate database tools like MySQL, Postgre, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
Keeping to deadlines and delivering consistently good work
Building and maintaining a strong culture of great team morale, cohesiveness and high-performance
Designing appropriate databases for the company’s use
Leading company policy for data gathering, storage and utilisation
Support the AI team in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks which helps to build a data pipeline when building a AI Model or Data warehouse

A good knowledge of relevant statistical methods

Strong analytical reasoning skills
A relevant university degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in data engineer
The ability to keep your work clear and organised
