Database Administrator (MYSQL)

(*). Position Summary:
This role is responsible for database design, implementation and management to ensure smooth business operations.
(*). Key Accountability Areas:
To schedule and monitor all projects/databases in charge.
To review database design, coding, index creation and tuning.
To efficiently design tables and write stored procedure to meet application requirement.
To write and maintain related documentation.
(*). Other Duties & Responsibilities:
To collaborate with developers to ensure timely delivery of products that meet business requirements and quality metrics.

(A) Education:
Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Science related discipline.
(B) Experience:
Minimum 1 year of database design experience and 3 years’ experience with application development, preferably in banking or online-gaming industry.
(C) Knowledge:
Knowledge of database warehousing is added advantage.
Strong knowledge of MYSQL, stored procedure, trigger, indexing and replication.
(D) Skills:
Able to speak in fluent English.
Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
Good negotiation skills and Presentation skills.
Excellent team player.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong understanding of mathematical models, strong troubleshooting skill.
