Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Elaborate the detailed engineering part of electrical engineering projects, in accordance with the technical specification, classification societies requirements, applicable standards and guidelines / internal manuals.
• Compliance with the deadlines stipulated in the design planning activities.
• Responsible for implementation of processes / sub-processes where he holds responsibilities under the "Matrix of responsibilities in the processes (Process Responsibility Matrix)"
• Identification and communication in order to approve the design technical solutions, based on news / innovations available on marine market.
• Compliance processes, procedures and guidelines for integrated management system medium – SSM, specific to the held position.
Activities:
• Endorses the proposals of Purchasing department relating to equipment manufacturers who are not in the database of the company.
• Analyzes and advises on special equipment using technical data submitted by the Purchasing Department;
• Receives the technical specifications and design activity planning from design team leader / project manager.
• Is checking the availability of the latest version of the design necessary reference documents (rules of classification, standards and technical regulations) and requires to the Resource Manager to complete technical database when appropriate.
• Elaborates the Detailed Engineering documents in accordance with the sub process ENG3, as:
Cables list
Connections diagram
Routing cables reports
Equipment necessary (part lists)
Spare parts list
Drawings of switchboards
Electrical sketch
• Propose for approval of the design team leader / project manager based design technical solutions News / innovations;
• Performs inspections of Detailed Engineering documents throughout the project execution and in the warranty period (including versions of "as built")
• Communicates to the automation engineer the changes from the schemes that involve software changes.
• Provides technical assistance during the works and propose changes to the technical solutions, if the situation requires.
• Analyzes drawings and wiring diagrams with the design team leader / project manager and propose technical solutions, if it is the case.
• Apply processes, procedures and instructions of management system integrated for medium-ssm specific to held position.
• Provides interface with the client and / or classification bodies regarding approval documentation of execution and / or bill of material.
• Provides the interface with the client regarding materials provided by it.
• Prepares in E-PLAN the necessary materials / equipment (part lists) and lists of labels.
• Forwards the projects to production departments, installation and automation, in the order to begin work.
Other activities:
• Provides technical support to reception committee from store (when necessary).
• Participates at manuals developing / procedures / work instructions in his field.
• Cooperates with WP from Engineering department to elaborate the packing lists for making deliveries to projects under their responsibility.
• Participates in calculating project budgets in the bidding phase.
• Within the projects can act as a lead engineer, the responsibilities being described in the "Engineering" process, ENG code.
Limit of competence
• When it is assigned to the project, receives orders from the project manager and / or head of the design team.
• Receives tasks from Resource Manager Engineering & Innovation.

- Experience: Minimum 1 year in naval electric design

Salary will be discussed, it depends on experience as well
