The New Zealand Embassy in Ha Noi is seeking an experienced Development Programme Coordinator to fill a key Development role at the New Zealand Embassy in Ha Noi. The Development Programme Coordinator contributes directly to the advancement of New Zealand’s foreign policy/development policy interests through Aotearoa New Zealand’s International Development Cooperation programme in Viet Nam.
This is a busy role which can be demanding and stressful at times. There will be a requirement for you to travel around Viet Nam and to sometimes represent the embassy during project monitoring and evaluation visits. We need someone who is a strategic thinker and who is able to manage tasks effectively and be flexible, adaptable and resourceful in how you go about your work. A positive attitude and a good sense of humour will go a long way in helping you fit quickly into our small, friendly team.
The mission of Aotearoa New Zealand’s International Development Cooperation programme, as a part of the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is to support sustainable development in developing countries in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable, and prosperous world.
We are seeking applicants who can contribute to the strategy, policy and planning of New Zealand’s development programme in Viet Nam and who have good practical project management experience. Strong communication skills both in English and Vietnamese are essential, as is effective relationship building and financial management and administration skills. Yêu cầu công việc

• At least 5 years project management experience in a donor agency, multilateral organisation or INGO.
• Excellent relationship management, analytical and problem solving skills, and English/Vietnamese written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel outside Ha Noi – including to remote locations.
• A Masters degree in a discipline relevant to international development assistance.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
