DFM Engineer

Accountable for the DFM solutions and responsible for supporting the manufacturing operations during and after the DFM solutions implementation.
Provide training on DFM Guidelines and communicate the status of their implementation.
Create and apply Assembly & Packing Design for Manufacturing Guidelines targeting increased manufacturing throughput, reduced material loss rates, and predictable quality levels.
Promote an environment where there’s opportunity for manufacturing and development engineers to work together as a team. Interact with experts in Product Design, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Reliability and others.
Ensure proper consideration of part manufacturing and assembly early in the product concept stage in order to improve the overall economics and efficiency of the production processes.
Generate accurate should-cost estimates, evaluate supplier quotations, and benchmark competitors&039; products.
Work in the pre-production and NPI stages of the product lifecycle to ensure manufacturability.
Implement volume manufacturing solutions to assembly and packaging concepts.
Drive product simplification and, in turn, cost reduction and shorter production cycle time.
Create and maintain a DFM Database consisting of guidelines, solutions, implementation plans, track record and lessons learned.

International exposure is desired.
Experience in bringing electro-mechanical assembly and packaging designs from concept to volume manufacturing is required.
A degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial or materials science) is required.
Exposure to international volume manufacturing standards is required.
Team leadership experience is desired.
Fluent written and spoken English is required.
Strong familiarity with Design for Manufacturing guidelines and good practices is required.
Microsoft Office, 2D and 3D CAD SW proficiency is required.
Ability to work with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and process is required.
5+ years’ experience of electro-mechanical assembly and packing processes in a volume manufacturing environment is required.
Ability to self-manage and deliver results in a project mode role is required.
Product Development experience in an R&D center, or 2-way interaction with it, is required.

Working time:
Sat: 08:00 – 16:00 (18 days/ year for the 1st year he/she join with us. From the 2nd year it will be 12 days)
From Mon – Fri (08:00 – 16:45)
