Digital Retoucher (Photo Assistant)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Retouch and color correct all assets using Adobe Photoshop prior to delivering to individual brands.
• Define and oversee the photography asset creation process. Ensure that the assets are captured and stored in the correct manner to assure efficient workflow.
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the image capture process.
• Follow Brand Style Guides for photo direction and asset requirements.
• Serve as the technical and color expert relating to the capture process.
• Maintain file size and crop specification guidelines.
• Match color back to actual product samples and ensure color consistency between image assets.
• Set Color Correction standards.
• Able to perform complex image work to compensate for imperfections in product samples. ie. cloning out scratches in wood or damage to product.
• Quality Assurance and color analysis expert on all images.
• Receive creative direction from Photographer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
• Formal training in the use of digital camera systems is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with strong verbal and written presentation skills.
• Familiarity with all studio tools, lighting, technical software and systems.
• Highly proficient in Macintosh Photoshop
• Highly proficient in all aspects of digital image quality and output. File size, light, color balancing and retouching, PhotoShop. Working knowledge of basic digital print production or prepress file prep is not required but very helpful.
