- Participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations as necessary.
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
- Liaise closely with other departments within the hotel to ensure efficient and regular communication of sales activities.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Managers to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Manager’s sales and activity performance.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Account Executives to build motivation and selling skills.
- Effectively measure and report on a timely basis, sales results with updated strategies and competitor information to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Managers.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- In-coordination with CEO to develop/review rate structures and conditions applicable to various marketing segments, based on market feedback and conditions.
- Assist CEO with the development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career path.
- Be an example for Account Executives in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
- Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Insures that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Maintain regular contact with key contacts in the appropriate market segments including site inspections and sales calls.
- Forecast, analyze and report Sales results.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Preparation and planning of the Annual Operating Plan, Departmental Objectives and other costs related to the Annual Budget.
