[ĐN] 05 DBA and Database Developer

* JOB PURPOSE:
- The MS SQL Server DBA and Database Developer position will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of existing databases as well as the planning and implementing new databases to continue exponential data growth.
- This position will be responsible for all database environments, and will also be responsible for design, development and management of a new Data Warehouse environment used for analytics and reporting.
* PRINCIPAL JOB ELEMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Key Responsibilities and Database Administration:
- Manage day-to-day operations of existing databases.
- Work with development staff to optimize existing queries.
- Optimize existing data sets through the addition of indexes or other means.
- Manage backup and recovery plans for databases using AWS Snapshots.
- Ensure each database and data warehouse is tuned for optimal performance.
- Prepare ad hoc queries reports for both technical and business teams.
* Key Responsibilities for Data Warehouse:
- Design, maintain, and enhance ETL process and schedules for all aspects of the firm’s positions, trades and pricing information.
- Working with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
- Managing the database aspects of the reporting and analytics platforms to ensure that reporting jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness / completeness requirements.
- Design data models and define both logical and physical models.
- Design and implement various unit tests on system and prepare test data.

- Advanced experience in MS SQL Server, or other enterprise db solution.
- Advanced SQL coding, tuning and query optimization.
- Strong SQL coding and tuning experience in MS SQL and T-SQL.
