Educational Technology Officer

THE OPPORTUNITY
VinUniversity seeks a motivated, organized individual who is passionate about education and the educational technology to serve as the Educational Technology Officer in the Center of Learning & Teaching Excellence at VinUniversity. This individual will demonstrate a highly collaborative, can-do approach, problem solving and critical thinking skills, and the agility to adjust to rapidly changing technology and user needs. . As an Educational Technology Officer for a new university that is committed to implementing the highest standards of teaching and research, this individual has a once in a lifetime opportunity to design, implement and build an evidence based, student centric, technology enabled teaching and learning experience for the VinUniversity community.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Curate and create engaging, relevant and high quality multimedia content to support teaching and learning.
• Supportfaculty to create lecture videos, e-learning activities and other materials for active teaching and learning.
• Work directly with faculty and Teaching Support staff to implement Liaise with IT, Operations and other administrative offices with regards to educational technology tools.
• Conduct or support training organized by the Learning Excellence Center.
• Implement, manage, train and assist users on using Canvas (Learning Management Platform), Zoom, digital collaboration platforms, video creating and editing tools, and any other digital tools for education at VinUni.
• Responsible for the administrative support for the Learning Excellence Center at VinUni. This includes event management, budgeting, logistics support, reporting and website maintenance.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
• Knowledge ofand experience in using/implementing educational technology principles and models, and design process in a higher education setting. Proficiency in some combination of graphic design, video and multi-media production, web development, user experience design. Experience with course management systems and/or learning management systems, such as Canvas, and in other collaboration platforms in teaching.
• Knowledge and experience in creating and maintaining website and multi-media web content.
• Undergraduate degree in Technology, Education or related field plus one to three years’ experience in teaching support in a university setting for online, hybrid, and/or face-to-face class delivery. Preference will be given to candidates who have an advanced degree or additional qualifications that reflect their active engagement in professional development in the area of educational technology.
• Administrative and operational experience with events, budgets, logistics management and other support.
• Experience in integrating technology into the teaching/learning process to meet learning objectives.
