Main Purpose of Job
- Support our pilot plants to ensure technical soundness in the field of electricity and process control hardware, for projects and maintenance activities
- Operating automation in PTC Orbe, STC Orbe, based on Swiss regulation and Nestlé standards.
- Coach engineers of any speciality (including, but not exclusively, electrical and automation engineers) on the established E&A standards.
- Design, implement and supervise the E&A part of CAPEX projects and improvement projects in PTC Orbe, STC Orbe, based on Nestlé standards
Project management and project related activities:
- Ensure timely implementation of projects in the pilot plants, respecting budgets.
- Participate in the on-call service set up on site
- Available for occasional travelling for industrialization of processes in factories.
- Co-ordinate personnel (e.g. technicians, instrument fitters, contractors, ETC.) to ensure that E&A objectives are satisfied.
- Ensure at all times safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training.
- Ensure that proper documentation is written and updated with each project.
- Ensure at all times the technical integrity and performance of the Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation and systems.
- Co-ordinate with Pilot Plant personnel, QA, Engineering and Product departments to resolve issues.
- Participate and/or lead Electrical and Automation (E&A) projects in the pilot plant (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, ...).
Pilot Plant Maintenance:
- Ensure proper backup procedures are in place for all automation and industrial IT systems supporting pilot plant activities.
- Ensure pilot plant maintenance, in the form of continuous improvements, troubleshooting, ETC.
- Ensure proper management of the documentation.
- Demonstrate an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations, including food safety
- Facilitate the introduction and implementation of new technologies
- Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance.
Support the NPDI Process:
- Facilitate the introduction and implementation of new technologies in co-ordination with NRDO Engineering (TCU)
