• Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
• Oversee prototyping and assembly of advanced mixed-signal (analog/digital) systems
• Analyze the effect and solution of the environmental factors to EPS, such as temperature, radiation, SEE (Single event effect), space debris
• Prototyping and assembly of circuit boards for rapid development efforts
• Analyze, predict the potential failures of the EPS; build a plan for failure tolerance design, automatic/remote failure handling
• Analyze the energy usage scenario and power balancing strategy during the mission
• Analyze the relation and the reaction of EPS with other subsystems
• Trades studies and power budgeting for the satellite bus.
• Review and select the EPS architecture, battery technology, and solar cell/array technology
• PCB layout and design, including component selection and sourcing
• Ability to review, select products and suppliers for EPS
• Clarify the set of design/manufacturing/qualification standards and how to apply for EPS methods, processes, and tools for EPS design at the system level
• Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
• Determination of input requirements for EPS at the system level
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and mechanical integration
• Create thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
• Design and build electrical systems to support, command, and power a high-speed optical communications system.
