Electrical Technician (Working Location: Ba Ria, Vung Tau)

NAMCONSON PIPELINE CO. (NCSP) seeks to fill in the position of Electrical Technician for Vietnamese Nationals, working in Ba Ria, Vung Tau. Individuals with the qualified credentials and high degree of motivation are welcomed to apply.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
JOB PURPOSE:
• Provide support and assistance to other trades and production team as required
• To perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and plant modification on NCSP electrical equipment in a safe and cost effective manner to ensure NCSP facilities are available to meet production targets
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain accurate shift logs of all activities.
• Participate in the Emergency Response organisation according to the Emergency Response Plan.
• Be responsible for correctly disposing of all waste they generate and for ensuring waste is correctly identified, segregated and contained.
• Assist in preparation of quality work packs for identified low nomination and maintenance activities.
• Maintain and update drawings, records, reports, and procedures as required.
• Carry out preventive break down and condition based maintenance, inspection, faultfinding, plant modification, testing and calibration of NCSP electrical equipment. Record results in the computer based maintenance management system.
• Carry out QAI of all contractors electrical equipment prior to its use on site
• Provide supervision for contract and vendor staff on procedures, safe working practices, and permit guidance and in depth plant familiarity.
• Assist operations, instrument, mechanical, and civil trades where disciplines overlap to provide an overall efficient maintenance service.
• Ensure all hazards, faults and problems are recorded and solved. Where problems cannot be resolved ensure that the problem is brought to the attention of appropriate authorities.
• Witness testing and commissioning of new plant as representative of electrical discipline
• Maintain own skills by training and contribute to the training of other team members
• Have a basic understanding of the significant environmental impacts from NCSP Operations together with an appropriate knowledge of the environmental management system, policy and procedures.
• Liase on a regular basis with the Maintenance Supervisor advising on spares and material requirements.
• Act as competent person for the completion of isolation involving electrical equipment at 6.6 kV, 415 V and lower voltages.
• Cable scanning for underground hazards prior to excavations
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times
• Participate in a stand by duty roster.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Rotating Electrical Systems & Equipment: AC& DC motor
• Electrical Protection Systems & Equipment: earthing, protection relay, PT, CT etc
• Power Generation Systems & Equipment: power Management & Synchronization, Alternators & AVR
• Low and medium (6.6kV) Voltage Distribution Systems & Equipment: switches, battery, UPS, bus, cable, ACB, VCB, Power Transformer, MCC, contactor etc.

• React quickly and efficiently to breakdown situations while maintaining a high level of safety performance. And High pressure work environment
• Keep up to date with the constantly changing technology of Instrumentation.
• Work & interface within a multi-cultural company.
• Be able to call-out for trouble-shooting on the event equipment failure.
• Adapt to changing priorities and integrate with other disciplines to create an effective team.
• Provide high quality planned maintenance, which contributes towards high plant reliability and availability.
• Ability to apply and promote NCSP business ethics and standards in all activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Other trainings: CMMS (Maximo) Safe operation & maintenance High Voltage electrical equipment, and Maintain of Ex electrical equipment course would be an advantage
- Experience : At least 3 years on hand working experience of maintain the electrical equipment
- Educational background: University or college degree in Automation, Electricity, Electronic
Experience in working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or similar heavy industrial is the advance
