Installing electrical cables and equipment
Job purpose: Installs cabling and connects complex and specialist electrical installations and panels following blueprints and wiring diagrams. Locates and solves (electrical) problems in machines and/or installations and executes service, modification and/or maintenance work.
• Prepares parts for mounting and wires panels by cutting, drilling, punching, stripping, soldering, bending and sawing.
• Installs cables, connects electrical installations and panels, and assembles electrical components.
• Assists, if necessary, with mounting cable routes, ladder track, gutters and tubes.
• Orientates on the various installations to be connected as well as the installation location / space and determines the course of cables.
• Measures and tests the installation.
• Prepares materials and equipment to be installed or removed.

• Solves malfunctions, mistakes or possible improvements that are found during commissioning activities and suggests possible improvements.
• Supports the preparation of electrical work for new construction projects.
• Assembles the installation and/ or panels according to drawings in the most efficient way.
• Connects electrical installations and panels, and makes necessary changes / conversions.
Troubleshooting
• Provides feedback regarding the malfunction to all stakeholders and instructs the operator if necessary.
• Checks linked installations or panels (from third parties) that may cause the disruption.
• Prepares the work and collects the required materials based on the trouble report.
• Draws up the service report or work order and gets it signed by the customer (if applicable).
• Checks the voltage, consults the control system, analyzes it and adjusts it if necessary.
• Reports to the contact person on location, makes work agreements, checks and tests the installation and / or panels and takes the necessary safety measures.
Progress monitoring
• Ensures compliance with work and safety regulations and procedures.
• Registers hours and possible material consumption.
• Signals and indicates errors / deviations in drawings / diagrams and keeps track of revision work.
• Identifies and solves bottlenecks in the work and determines priorities.
• Discusses the work with the acting supervisor and distributes it along colleague electricians and apprentice technicians.

Requirements:
• Secondary Vocational Education
(NL - MBO2 / RO - Certificat de Competente Profesionale)
• Internal contacts with electricians to receive instructions and directions.
• Has some practical experience and executes tasks according to instructions from experienced colleagues.
• Electrical engineering, installation, mounting methods, related tools and equipment.
• Follows work and safety regulations and procedures.

Salary: Negotiation
