Key Accountabilities
Executing QC Function which includes ISO 9000 system maintenance, planning and scheduling of test packages and liaison with customer on quality matters
Carry out daily physical inspection and reporting such as welding activities, reliabilities, and integrities of plant equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Service Test
PWHT/Hardness Test
To update and review Isometric drawings GA drawings according to project requirements
PMI Test
To keep and update all weld comprehensive matters from the projects.
Hydrotest
Leak Test
Radiographic Test
Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate supervisor or higher management
To coordinate and arrange for NDE, when required
Air Test
Witness hydrostatic tests.
Carry out material receiving inspection.
Prepare inspection reports.
Monitor consumables (fillers & electrodes) control & welders daily work schedule.
To prepare test packages and documentations for submission to clients.
Liaise with client inspector on inspection hold point(s).
To apply for welders’ qualification tests as necessary
To ensure materials used are within the specifications of client.
Dye Penetrant Test
To conduct visual inspection of weldment and plant equipments
To keep and update all non-conformance reports (NCR), follow-up sheet, calibration status report of measuring and test equipment.
Magnetic test

Familiar with and understand the following examination methods: VT, UT, RT, MT, PT, Ferrite No. & Hardness Testing
Minimum Diploma holder in any engineering discipline or equivalent
5 or more years of on-the-job experience required, which may include a combination of education and work experience spent as an NDE Technician or QC Inspector in the Refinery, Chemical or Thermal plant. Experience should include aspects of design, construction, repairs, inspection, or operation of pressure vessels, piping, above ground storage tanks, and familiarity with welding processes.
Certified as an:
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or;
- CSWIP Certified Welding Inspector (3.1)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Certifications in any of API-510, API-570, API-653 will be benefits
