Engineering Manager

Keep up to date on industry trends and best practices
Oversee the engineering delivery from start to finish, ensuring the quality standards and the deadlines are met
Stay abreast of new technologies and how they can be applied to the company’s products
Work with product managers and other stakeholders to define requirements and scope for new features and products
Serve as the technical leader for a team of software engineers, guiding them in the design, development, and implementation of new features and functionality
Help to identify and resolve technical issues
Perform code reviews and participate in design reviews
Attend conferences and networking events to represent the company
Review code changes and provide feedback to ensure that they meet company standards
Lead the system design and code contribute to the team’s codebase when necessary
Mentor and coach team of engineers, providing guidance on career development and technical skills
Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new software engineers

Expertise in multiple programming languages, including TypeScript | NodeJS | Python | AWS Services | Linux | Bash | Rockset | AWS CDK | AWS SAM | C4 Diagram
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
5+ years in a management role with direct reports
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams
7+ years professional experience in software development
Nice to haveMaster’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related fieldExperience managing remote teams
