The Examination Officer is in charge of all subjects related to examinations at VGU. For that the Examination Officer has to be in contact and provide all relevant information to applicants/students/lecturers and others involved. The duties and responsibilitiesinclude but is not limited to:
1. Work on admission and examination regulations:
- Implement admission and examinations regulations in daily work
- Develop and continuously improve processes, guidelines related to admission/ examination
- Help to conceptually optimize all regulations if administrative problems are arising
2. Work on online application system closely with IT Dept., Student Recruitment Dept. and study programs:
- Screening applicant profiles on the application portal
- Provide feedback/ consulting to candidates of Master programs about admission and application process
- Provide statistic data and relevant reports on demand
3. Organize VGU's entrance examinations for Master students. Work closely together with other departments/units (e.g. Student Recruitment, Foundation Year and Student Affairs) and the faculties for the admission and enrollment procedures:
- Organize entrance exam, English test
- Prepare admission, enrollment decisions
- Collect and store enrollment documents of students
4. Work on Student Information System (SIS), Integrated Campus Management System (ICMS):
- Create new study program, curriculum, modules… on the system
- Keep track of student records (transcript, GPA, IELTS)
5. Coordinate with program coordinators/ faculty assistants in the management of examinations on ICMS:
- Modules/ exams registration
- Supervise teaching, exam plan (academic calendar)
- Grades management and validation
6. Prepare and manage to issuing/archiving the VGU's Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees; make sure that all legal requirements are fulfilled.
7. Prepare and coordinate academic events carried out at Academic and Student Affairs Department (e.g. Academic Year Opening Ceremony, Graduation Ceremony)
