Finance Business Controller

The LEGO® Operations Finance team is looking for a business controller for our new construction project in Binh Duong. The ideal candidate is well networked, understands the construction processes and pitfalls, is end-to-end oriented, and can collaborate effectively across all stakeholders and functions. We are looking for an individual who has proven the ability to excel in a fast-paced, hands-on construction or manufacturing environment.
This role will be working temporarily at LEGO temporary office in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and be relocated to Binh Duong in 2024.

Core Responsibilities:
• Ensuring strong governance and controls are in place for the construction project e.g., reviewing and providing guidance to existing setup and supporting our annual audits and tax returns
• Develop and support on business case modelling for new investment decisions
• Be an active member of the newly established project team leading discussions within your responsibility but also providing perspectives and challenge across all aspects of the business.
• Support the simplification and automation of activities and processes.
• Supporting the construction project controlling including month end closing, budgeting, and forecasting working closely with our global teams and quality surveyors
• Delivering on ad hoc analyses to secure increased value creation in the business
• Follow up on gaps in financial performance and ensuring that key trade-offs and financial implications are clearly called out

You will be one of the first finance persons hired in Ho Chi Minh City and be joining a small team of individuals where curiosity, open mindedness, and willingness to learn are key essentials. Do you have what it takes?
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work across cultures and time zones
• Strong analytical skills that allow you to extract logic, insights, and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems
• Work experience within international and/or manufacturing company
• Proficient in Excel and knowledge of Power BI
• Proficient in verbal and written English
• Minimum 2-3 years of finance or accounting experience where min. 1 year as business partner
• Strong willingness to learn and grow
• SAP/Business Warehouse knowledge
• A bachelor’s degree in business economics/finance/accounting with excellent results is preferred
• Knowledge of construction projects or project controlling
