Finance Director

• Direct the annual budgeting forecasting exercise and monitoring of expenditure at unit level to ensure that resources are optimally allocated to the respective departments.
• Establish and direct the implementation of a costing framework to enable users to obtain timely and accurate information of the costs allocation to various programmes and key priority areas, to allow better budget allocation and management of expenditure.
• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting to prevent disruption to business operations.
• Lead in-depth analysis of cost variances and product cost analysis, perform standard cost settings and revaluation.
• Monitor, drive and report all cost initiatives.
• Ensure proper bookkeeping of company’s transaction, in accordance to accounting principles and standards.
• Ensure company’s tax planning and relevant tax administration in compliance with local legislation.
• Manage fixed assets, calculation and reviews of ROI for capital expenditures.
• Analyse and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, to coordinate and lead the financial audit process where necessary.
• Oversee the review of internal financial policies, processes and controls to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and good corporate governance. 
• Manage the unit’s financial risk profile, in line with the extent and categories of risk identified.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place at the unit.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements that has financial impact.
• Responsible for the overall efficiency of administration function through the execution of tasks by the Admin team.
• Ensuring right resources and competencies in the admin team. Primarily the custodian of unit admin policies and procedures.
• Any other company projects and tasks assigned where necessary.
• Specifically for this location, this position is entrusted to manage the IT function to ensure local IT support is provided to the stake holders in this location, in line with Group IT guideline, policies, and procedures.

• Possess a university degree Bachelor or Master Degree with major in finance/accounting
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and management reporting
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance framework
• In-depth business process knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of local statutory legislation and grants that have financial impact
• Working knowledge of management policies and procedures
• Good knowledge of project management principles
• Knowledge of shoe-making industry will be ideal, but not necessary

• Good presentation skill
• Relevant progressive Finance working experience from operational to strategic leadership role, over a span of 10 years or more.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in managing the finance function in P&L reporting and provide sound financial advice
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in creating and managing HR policies and procedures
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in  talent management, talent development  and succession planning processes and programs
