FURNITURE PRODUCT ENGINEER

The Product Engineer shall work closely with production, R&D team and CAD team to record the product specs, perform testing new sample/ new materal, solving product issue and training QA/QC & production about the specs.

1. Follow up with R&D team about the new sample process then prepare the packing method, packing BOM.

2. Do testing to make sure the way packing can protect products before shipment to customer

3. Research alternative materials for cost saving

4. Follow up with production team to improve the packing method for old products. Stronger, saving cubic feet (CBM)

5. Perform testing new sample (load test, strength test, drop test …), report the results to technical manager.
Propose improvement solution after testing.

6. Re-Engineer: Review customer complaints, production feedback or review existing products then come out the ideas to change/ improve product.

7. Solving problem: Work with QA/QC and production team to investigate the root cause of the issue in production and come out preventive action and corrective action.

8. Coordinate with relevant department/ functions to implement improvement product and initiatives

1.  Bachelor of Engineering. Applicants with R&D management, has good knowledge about wood product and metal related field degree background with 3-5 years working experience.
2. Able to use Auto cad software,  able to use other softwares is a plus
3. Written and spoken English (communication)
4. Communication, analytical, persuation and training skills
5. Computer skills with MS office software such as word, excel, power point, outlook
