General Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
products as required. You will ensure all product produced in this facility meet product specifications, are completed on time and meet target profit margins. You will be responsible for facility maintenance as well as maintenance of all factory production equipment.
Ultimately it will be your responsibility to deliver a world class experience and WOW our customers by exceeding our operational promises.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the operations of our factory in Vietnam. It will be your job to plan, direct and coordinate production of BCD’s and other Huish Outdoors’
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain facility appearance and safety, scheduling repairs for facility property and production machinery as needed.
• Ensures government custom software is operational and reports are furnished to the government in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation of budgets, including but not limited to distribution, manufacturing and facility maintenance and labor cost, ensuring budgets are met.
• Hold monthly meetings with Huish Outdoors’ USA supply chain team to review forecast and ensure resources are sufficient to meet future anticipated demand
• Work side by side with the production team to assess employee effectiveness. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members as needed.
• Ensures production of all product conforms to product specifications and is shipped on time.
• Ensure a preventative maintenance plan is in place for all production and facility equipment and that services are performed as scheduled.
• Hold weekly production meetings with HOV production team, engineering, quality and supply chain to ensure orders stay on schedule and bottlenecks or challenges are addressed in a timely and proactive manner
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with local laws and regulations regarding business operation, import/export compliance. Including but not limited to: HEPZA, Fire and Env. Dept.
• Lead the Production / Quality / Engineering Teams with weekly meetings as part of a “continuous improvement” program related to every aspect of the operations side of the business
• Ensure HOV adheres to safety guidelines you set and manage
• Provide training for new hires and continuing education for the production team as needed.
• Manage day-to-day activities of HOV, ensuring production results meet targets.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
• Target Raw Material inventory levels are achieved
• Orders completed and shipped on time
• Meet or beat Facility gross profit margin and net profit margin targets

QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Expert ability to communicate effectively with others including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to employees
• Proficient ability to effectively recruit, hire, coach, train, develop, retain and redirect employees as needed to produce and maintain a successful team
• Proficient ability to assertively solve strategic problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• 2-5 years manufacturing, management or other related operations experience
• Expert ability to model Huish Outdoors’s commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
• Proficient knowledge of M.S. Office, Google Apps, Netsuite and other cloud computing platforms.
• Budgeting knowledge and ability to monitor and adjust any activity in the factory to follow the budget.
• Bachelor’s Degree in management, operations (or related field) or relevant management experience
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Relationship building skills including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within the organizations and leverage influential leadership
