PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF ROLE
The Hanoi Product Executive roles is responsible to independently identify & develop new product in the Northern areas of Vietnam, inspecting, researching, packaging and presenting in the required format to enable Head Office to promote them. The role is also to assist in the design, development and negotiation of series quotations for wholesales agents. The role also assumes a ‘trouble-shooter’ function assisting and dealing with supplier complaints and issues by TOI guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
* Product Development and Communication
•Researching new touring options based on inspections of sights in the Northern areas (Packing them into products and promoting them through presentation)
•Researching and identifying new hotel/restaurant/boat/vehicle supplier/etc.
•Communicating with tour suppliers to collect information and negotiate rates.
•Creating customized itineraries in the Northern region and quoting based on Sales and Marketing’s requests.
•Delivering training for Sales and relevant departments to increase product and destination knowledge
•Conducting Tour Safe Health & Safety audits for Hotels/Vehicles/and Boat suppliers
•Creating and maintaining the wholesale Tariff
•Assisting in the Quotation of series and groups for wholesales’ agents
•Conducting updates on all TOI supporting document resources (Pocket Guides, Map, Pre-Departure info, List of restaurant etc.)
•Collecting tourism information and updating the Product team <@> Head Quarter for the monthly newsletter and other reports.
* Sales Support
•Offering detailed advice and support to the Inside Sales Team when requested, about logistics, new and existing product
•Meeting with new and existing agents when they are in region.
* Learning & Development
•Constantly striving to seek out new ideas and products and expanding ones knowledge on the topic
•Any other such duties that might from time to time be assigned by the local regional office manager or Product & Contracting Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
•Degree or equivalent work/life experience
•In-depth product and destination knowledge of Vietnam (including adventure segment)
•In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry in Vietnam
EXPERIENCE
•Minimum 2 year- experience in travel, knowledge in inbound market
•Experience in working with different cultures
SKILLS
•Thorough understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Excellent written and spoken English
•Experience in effectively working at all levels within an organization, including delivering presentations (PowerPoint, WebEx, etc.)
•Detail oriented & careful & organized
•Willing to travel including to remote areas, experience adventure activities as well as operate from the local office for admin work
