•Liaise closely to ensure a cohesive and effective compliance to DPDHL regional/global occupational health & safety manual and standards.
Regional Office
•Provide regular updates on Security, BCM and H&S issues
•Ensure compliance to regional Security, BCM and H&S policies and procedures
Driving Security, BCM & Occupational Health & Safety Excellence
•Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and security, BCM, occupational health & safety practices to safeguard DHL employees, customers’ shipments, DHL assets and information against loss, damage or incident.
•Co-ordinate country security, BCM, occupational health & safety activities and ensure compliance of DHL staff and sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual and Occupational Health & Safety Standards.
•Conduct security, BCM, occupational health & safety audits (and assist other audit teams e.g. TSP), both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security, occupational health & safety practices and procedures at country sites.
•Co-ordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security and BCM training programmes for country personnel and in particular DHL specific training programmes such as SAFE.
•Conduct Security & Safety related investigations and other enquiries as required.
Security, BCM & Occupational Health & Safety related Networking
•Developed extensive contacts with Security personnel and Occupational Health & Safety Practitioners in a variety of industries, including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
•Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within DHL as security of the shipment in DHL custody is an end-to-end process
Security, BCM, Occupational Health & Safety Incident Database – Information Management
•Provide input and participate in the reporting of security, BCM, occupational health & safety incidents into the database
•Prepare and analyse the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents, including Dangerous Goods as well as any occupational health & safety incidents. Where appropriate, recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security, occupational health & safety incidents as they occur.
External security, BCM, occupational health & safety analysis
•Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events, criminal, BCM and occupational health & safety trends.
•Incumbent has no direct reports and authority over country line and functional personnel. Nevertheless he/she must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions through provision of value-added inputs into the organisation’s business processes.
