Information Technology Field Technician

Working location: Thuan An, Binh Duong (Shuttle bus provided)
Position Summary: Provide an excellent end-user experience in the support of end-user hardware and software and provide in-region assistance for the global IT teams and projects.
General Position Information:
Communication:
- Capable of working with end users in person or remotely over the phone or with collaboration tools such as Skype
- Customer service-orientated attitude
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Experience in effective communication with technical (IT) and non-technical (business) people
Standard Job Requirements:
- Expected to aid and train team members
- Expected to perform on-call duties
- Expected to resolve assigned incidents and requests within defined timeframes and quality
- Highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage to change priorities
- Expected to work occasional weekends, holidays, and overtime
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Able to climb ladders, crawl in small spaces and lift objects up to 22 Kg
- Standing for extended periods of time
- All other tasks as directed or as required for the successful completion of the role.

Key Roles:
Networking and Data Centre Teams Support (10-20%) – Provide in-region assistance to the global Networking and Data Centre Services teams for purchasing and hands-on-wires support
Project Support (10-20%) – Provide in-region support for the execution of projects.
End User Computing Support (60-70%) – Resolve incidents and action requests for end-user computers, computer peripherals, and phones.

Job Qualifications:
- Imaging computers with a standard operating environment (SOE)
- Providing IT advice and training to end users in line with company guidelines, policy, and standards
- The basic configuration of Windows 7 and 10 operating environments
- Setting up computers, computer peripherals, and phone handsets on end-user desks
- Configuring printers and installing printer drivers
- Installing network and server equipment in racks (hardware only)
- Proficient in using Apple iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads
- Patching network cables to switches
- Experience in using a ticketing tool for managing incidents and requests
- Computer management in Active Directory
- Installing software
- ITIL certification preferred
- Interfacing with vendors for the procurement of hardware or requesting support
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- 3+ years of working experience in support of end-user hardware and software
