IOS Frontend Team Leader (Swift)

Job Description:

We are looking for someone to lead our Front-end Engineering team working with a dynamic start-up in Silicon Valley. This person should have strong experience in iOS native environment. This team leader will also compliment a team of back-end developers, quality assurance, designers and product managers.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and specifications to create, communicate, and implement technical design
• Enhance, design, and implement web applications interfacing with back-end APIs
• Create and enhance application frameworks and modularity
• Drive, create, and enhance the development processes used by the team
• Manage personnel assignments, allocating assigned staff to projects, leveraging their skills and experience to ensure source code quality and on-time delivery
• Perform SCRUM master role and collaborate with all team members
• Review and provide any required input needed for setting priorities, scheduling releases
• Ensure standard engineering and corporate tools are used for across SDLC process
• Document technical designs, processes, test cases and create requirement analysis documents
• Use independent judgment to identify complex problems and recommend solutions to solve them
• Continuously learn about the product/industry as well as how the changing technologies might be impacting the product, monitor overall performance and stability and look for areas of improvement
• Collaborate with the back-end development, quality assurance, production, and product management teams through the full software development lifecycle
• Provide training and mentoring to other engineers

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience on professional/commercial projects, with an excellent work history that demonstrates a solid understanding of core competencies
• Minimum 2 years of experience as manager or team lead
• Extensive experience with developing high-quality, UI-rich iOS apps — as a bonus, we’d love to see your apps in the App Store!
• Have deep knowledge of Swift as well as the iOS SDK.
• Have strong product and design sensibilities, and enjoy perfecting the details that matter.
• Experience with Secure Coding practices and performing code reviews
• Agile software development methodology, Application Lifecycle management background
• Have hands-on experience with developing animations for mobile apps like: visual feedback, visual prompt, function change, etc.
• Agile development process experience; including unit testing, story creation, continuous integration, and close collaboration with product management and quality assurance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science

Other desirable personal qualities and skills:

• Familiarity Flutter/DART is desirable
• Good communication skills in English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
