Junior Developer (Java / JavaScript)

One of the strong points of SHIFT ASIA is to provide the Test Cycle Management (TCM) tool called CAT (Computer Aided Test). CAT is a comprehensive TCM tool with enterprise-level capabilities but flexible to fit all modern development methodologies. It allows you to link your manual and automated tests’ cases automatically to defects, requirements and tasks, and to integrate with many of the QA tools you already use such as Redmine and Slack. With CAT, clients of SHIFT ASIA can enhance their software developments more efficiently and more effectively.
Now we are about to launch our development team of CAT in Vietnam to accelerate distributing world-class “Made-in-Japan” testing tool to the international markets, so you would have chance to grasp the higher positions as your career path in SHIFT ASIA. SHIFT ASIA is seeking for talented software developers with a great passion for designing and developing CAT using various technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Include, but not limited to, the followings:
•Update your work status and escalate them in the daily scrum.
•Mainly focus on following activities of implementation: coding, internal code review, unit test, and bug fixing.
•May be in charge of developing a solution into a detailed design and coordinating to collect the estimation
•Proactively attending following activities of Scrum: meeting of planning, daily scrum, and KPT meeting.

General requirements:
•At least 1-year-experience in either Java with Spring Framework, JavaScript with MVC model, Sencha Ext JS or AngularJS.
•Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, to build consensus.
•Able to communicate well in English
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related scientific or technical discipline.
•Basic knowledge about OOP, Java programming language with spring framework.
Definitely a plus if having:
•Understanding about Design Patterns and ability to apply these patterns into technical design
•Experience with Relational database tools and concepts, including the following: PL/SQL, SQL/XML, and MySQL
•Proven experience with the JAVA/J2SE/J2EE development environment as well as products such as Eclipse/IntelliJ, Git, SVN, Maven, TFS
•Experience in foreign companies in English speaking environment or Japanese speaking environment.
•Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies as well as waterfall software development methodologies.
