Junior Program Officer in Aquaculture “Mcrp”;based in Hanoi

The program is looking for a qualified national candidate to fulfil the following position:
*** Junior Program Officer in Aquaculture “MCRP”
Duration: ASAP until 31/12/2025 with possibility of extension
Duty station: Hanoi, Vietnam
*** Main responsibilities:
For Project Implementation
• Support the project team in the planning and preparation of events, workshops and field trips
• Support for formulating consultancy terms of reference, participating in carrying out activities, including performance evaluation
• Providing support for aquaculture activities and further developing sustainable aquaculture and innovative solutions
• Compiling relevant information, data and contents as require for M&E purpose
• Providing support for design and capacity development measures for aquaculture farmers (trainings, workshops and others)
• Support for M&E system for aquaculture in MS Team and DMS

For development & partnership
• Support for promoting the public-private-partnership with the objective to improve cooperation with relevant organizations
• Providing other support if required (e.g. translation and interpretation)
• Provide initiatives for aquaculture technology promotion, policies and market linkages
• Coordinating with partners at national and local level, consultants and concerned units of GIZ for implementing activities, including preparation of concept notes, paper-works and documents for event organization
• Liaison with partners in cooperation activities, including private sector
• Maintaining a good flow of communication and information between all involved stakeholders
• Support in the acquisition and preparation of new projects (e.g. DeveloPPP or i4Ag….)

*** Minimum requirements:
• Skills in working with different stakeholders, including Ministries, local partners, experts, SMEs, farmers
• Knowledgeable in aquaculture production technologies and IoT-based tools
• University degree in aquaculture, environmental science, agriculture or equivalent
• Have experience in project operation and implementation
• Good working knowledge of IoT technologies (GIS, modeling, related software…) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Excellent English skills in speaking, reading and report writing
• Knowledgeable and experience in working in the Mekong Delta
• Good organizational and analytical skills, good communication and logical thinking
• Minimum of 2-3 years working experiences in a relevant position
• Knowledgeable in aquaculture, especially shrimp industry
• Knowledgeable in climate change, smart aquaculture, sustainable use of natural resources at community level, coastal ecosystem
• Flexible and willingness to travel.
