b)Directs and coordinates promotion of products or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry. Leading, motivating and coaching staff to achieve service and retail goals, follow protocols and procedures, and exceed guest expectations. Perform retail and service sales. Expectation: Service and/or product promotions are effective, complete and timely.
c)Analyzes division or department budget request to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget. Expectation: Operating budgets are cost effective and accurate.
d)Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required. Provide excellent customer service and monitor guest feedback. Follow up on guest comments and requests. Preparing spreadsheets and updating of spa software for all staff schedules. Oversight of facility scheduling and efficient reservation booking. Perform phone and front desk reservations. Assist with lifting and storing facility equipment and inventory. Expectation: Standard operating procedures are maintained at all times. Reports, feedback, suggested changes are beneficial, accurate, and timely.
e)Facilitates monthly meeting with Financial Controller to evaluate job costing and project management productivity. Maintain and coordinate equipment and facility maintenance. Inventory ordering, stocking and control. Expectation: Meetings are documented, productive, thorough, and timely. Action plans are implemented, followed up and measured.
f)Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented. Maintaining the facilities operation and training manuals; accounting functions such as: monthly and annual management reports, daily journal entries, cash deposits and payroll preparation. Expectation: Directives, manuals and reports are complete, clear, and beneficial.
g)Promotes organization in industry, corporate membership links, local community, or trade organizations; internal marketing, promotions and merchandising functions of the business. Expectation: Promotional efforts are professional and productive and at the least cost possible.
h)Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the “spirit” of the organization. Expectation: Company commitment is consistent and positive.
i)Leading or coordinating regularly scheduled training activities. Expectation: Training sessions are documented and conducted in an efficient, productive, and timely manner. Staff feedback is collected and progression is monitored.
j)Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Expectation: Analysis and plans are thorough, accurate, clear, beneficial and set plans are acted upon or implemented according to time-frame agreed.
k)Interfaces with Hotel General Manager or Regional Spa Director or governing health agency to revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Ensures compliance with all local and state licensing and health requirements. Expectation: Plans, programs and completed certifications are thorough, accurate, clear, beneficial, and implemented according to time-frame.
l)Maintains full and final signature authority for the department and its resources. Expectation: Signature authority is utilized in an accurate and ethical manner at all times.
m)Plans and develops industrial, labor and public relations policies designed to improve company image and relations with customers, employees and public. Expectation: Policies yield productive and profitable results.
n)Communicates clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability. All aspects of human resource functions and employee reviews, conflict resolution and documentation. Maintains a fully staffed facility by recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training staff. Coordinates all orientation and training functions for new and existing staff members. Ensures that staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, marketing and promotions. Expectation: Communication is documented, ongoing, clear, concise, and complete.
o)Develops employees for future advancement when possible. Expectation: Employee development is accessible to all department employees.
