Salary Range: 35 to 40 Million VND/Month
1. General
- Reporting to and supporting the International Legal/Contract Specialist with processing, evaluation and coordination of Contractor and Client Contract Claims for all Packages (e.g. preparation and attending official meetings, preparing official letters, claims reports, etc.);
- Other tasks as assigned by the Int. Legal/Contract Specialist and or Project Manager.
2. Contract Administration
- Assist in preparation of official response to Contractor and Client regarding claims, decisions and disputes;
- Frequently communicate with Deputy Project Managers (DPMs) and International staff regarding background and technical matters related to claims, decisions and disputes;
- To expedite response regarding claims and decisions to Contractor and or Client;
- Frequent follow up with communicating/corresponding with Client and Contractor to ensure reasonable progression of claims, decisions and disputes in compliance with the Contract;
- Maintain project online filing, i.e. upload, maintain and organize;
- Coordinate archiving and record retention of relevant legal and contractual project files on completion of Claims/Disputes;
- Liaise with and co-ordinate project admin staff as required.
3. Legal & Contractual
- Assist the Int. Legal/Contract Specialist in addressing any legal and contractual issues that might arise during the course of the Project;
- Advise DPMs regarding Contractor’s compliance with Contract and JICA’s procedure in processing claims, certifying interim, and final payments to contractors;
- Assist in checking draft Consultant Subcontract agreements and Contract addendums;
- Assist in preparation and update of monthly report on all Contractor claim status for submission to the Client;
- Review other key correspondence between Consultant, Contractor and Client (i.e. besides claims, decisions and disputes), prepared by the DPMs and NNGV Core staff, in order to ensure that these correspondences have sufficient contractual and legal backing and logical contractual conclusions.
