Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job
To perform the engineering project for building construction, capital equipment, production process and utility(20%)
To manage maintenance department and oversee the daily running of maintenance department (20%)
To perform to role of Site Responsible Engineer in ensuring asset integrity of the site is in compliance with Corporate standard (30%)
To provide engineering service to production, equipment maintenance, and all LABs (30%)
Responsibilities
Personnel employed in maintenance, repair and examination of critical equipment are competent by virtue of having the appropriate knowledge, training and experience. A system to locally audit the activity.
Review and update preventive maintenance procedure to ensure continual operations
Control master site layout and update layout drawings in production area, labs, office area. etc.
Deploy and do sustainability of OEE program
Manage asset integrity by providing procedures for all critical equipment as well as engineering design approval, maintaining equipment and its operation within design limits. This role includes working closely with project managers and department managers as MOC initiators to comply with asset integrity requirements
Plan and manage spare parts at optimum level to ensure equipment availability
Any modification or re-rating of critical equipment, or its protective systems, should be subject to similar formal review procedure as part of MOC procedure.
Direct and coordinate completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
Plan and control budget for maintenance department to ensure smooth and effective operation
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment as Extruder, Mixer, Milling , Facility Equiment process line, dust collector, compressed air system. etc. provide technical support for maintenance department.
Conduct engineering analysis for production process/equipment improvement and new equipment.
Arrange the contractors and supervise the installation of new equipment.
This position is also the project manager for any site projects.
Working on the improvement of all facilities including layout, ventilation, heating, air conditioning
Vendor/contractor/quotation evaluation on construction, decoration, new equipment, equipment modification and other engineering works.
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing the layout and manufacturing flow of production equipment
Update preventative maintenance system to cover all equipment in production floor and QC RD&I Lab
Perform engineering improvement for HSE purpose continuously.
Fulfill PM procedure and other relative procedure.
Engineering responsibilities, planned and preventative maintenance schedules are defined. All critical equipment registered, periodically inspected, and any protective systems tested within a prescribed period. This includes systems to identify overdue inspections or tests and records of inspections.
Engineering project scheduling control.
