Mid/Sr. DevOps Engineer (Java, AWS)

In the responsible position of the DevOps Engineer, the future position holder is responsible to build the next generation of APIs and Services. As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the development and, mainly, maintenance of our backend components to ensure stabilization and enable our exclusive services for our customers.

Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
Assisting in maintaining APIs, services, frontends, and systems across HRS&039; engineering teams:
Availability - how often/long is the service not available
Delivery - how to get web traffic to customers fast
Security - how to lock APIs and harden systems
Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.
Work with engineers across the company to build new features and services at large-scale

Fluency in English, spoken and written.
Expertise in AWS cloud engineering. We are on a journey to a cloud-native, serverless, and DevOps mindset. We need your expertise to set up, maintain and implement continuous build/integration infrastructure in AWS using Gitlab CI pipelines and Terraform
The ability to put themselves in the shoes of the users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
Knowledge & skills in systems and services and writing high-quality code. We work mostly in Java and Node.js. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework
Enjoyment for being a generalist working on our backend (mostly Java 8), with good knowledge of AWS services (SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, etc), and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users
Strong backend engineering background with 3+ years of relevant, on-the-job experience
Skills for upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design
Enjoyment in working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
