Mold Design Engineer

1. Create the 2D/3D files:

• Measure products, mold inserts and models on 3D software.
• Create the 2D/3D drawings follow requirements.
• Create 2D detail drawings

2. Mold construction design:

• Follow the guideline to design the basic mold construction, select shrinkage and PEG.
• Follow up times lines & communicate if any delays.
• Do the DFM for repair/ modification molds
• Issue the 2D/3D mold processing drawing to KEW for machining process
• Issue the 2D files and part list component for Mold assembly team to check and assembly the mold
• Analyze and take decision on molds troubleshooting (production and new molds)

3. Get quotation for mold base, components ...:

• Prepare the part and component list.
• Get quotation for component and Mold base and Follow up.

Check the quality and quantity of the part component

4. Measurement:

• Support Engineering department to measure the product/ mold when requested.
• Do measurements reports.

5. Other tasks:

• Attend mold testing with Injection team & check if any concerns during sampling.
• Analyze test report, If require to modify mold and communicate time lines.
• Following special task given from Supervisor/ Manager.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Degree: Mechanical or related field from University.
• Over 02 years’ experience in Molding Design or Plastic Mold design field.
• English: Good in English skills
• Prefer candidates live in Binh Duong or move to Binh Duong

NICE TO HAVE: 

• Understand mold main functions and create 2D with dimensions and tolerances based on 3D supplied.
• Know how to select the proper tool for each measure, use it in an accurate way and create fully documented metrology reports.
• Design in autonomy basic molds including sliders or lifters (3D + 2D) based on concept supplied by Supervisor.
• Understand all the functions of a mold, the way it is manufactured and know how to design and layout and select the materials accordingly.
• Define mold design concepts, select shrinkage and PEG.
• Software: NX Mold Design, Rhino 2D, Solidworks, Mold Flow
