Network Engineer

*Overall Job Purpose:
The Network Engineer role provides professional services including design and deployment of Big Data Center Network, technical support and management of Data Centre Services and its customer’s networking and security infrastructure.
* Description:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement programmes of all technology platforms across the datacentre
- Performing Firewall Configuration, troubleshooting and Administration
- Adhere to all company policies and processes as communicated by line management in accordance with corporate ISO accreditation levels.
- Creating and performing authorized changes to customer environments, attending CABs where necessary
- Managing incidents and problems appropriately within agreed service levels
- Provide advice and guidance to the technical specialist team and act as an escalation point within the function where required.
- Lead technical customer discussions. Do this with thebest possible outcome as your main priority.
- Assist engagement with projects to ensure design of technical solutions are in line with the requirements of the customer
- Experience with Monitoring, Automation and Service provider ticketing toolsets (SCOM, ServiceNow, Remedy, Network monitoring)
- Perform root cause analysis on reoccurring incidents
- Design and deployment of complex Data Center Network, production of documentation to a high level including technical drawing, process models, customer communications.
- Ensure technical documentation is completed and updated to professional standards
- Act as a technical escalation point for major incidents related to the service delivery from the data centre and customer sites
- Monitoring and maintaining switching infrastructure to agreed service levels
- Log calls with third party vendors (such as CISCO or Fortinet) and escalate when necessary
- Contributing to delivering team performance

- Good English communications skills, both oral and written. Ideally, experience of working for an international company with travel to and from Vietnam
- Appropriate certifications in core technology platforms (CISCO, HP, Fortinet, Checkpoint), expect the level of CISCO CCNP and above
- Customer facing experience as you will be working with technical, process and customer facing documentation.
- Good working knowledge and experience in a Cisco environment, Knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls, Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting skills, Intruder Detection Systems, LAN & WAN, Routing Protocols, eg OSPF.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience providing support to enterprise level clients
- Strong background with core network technologies in large-scale deployments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-disciplinary problems and incidents
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred-Experience of enterprise grade CISCO and Fortinet environments including design, troubleshooting and support.
- Experience of working in a multi-client solutions provider
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- ITIL knowledge/accreditation specialising around operational Incident/Problem and change management.
