New Product Development Engineer - Australia Company in Binh Duong

The primary role of this position is to provide product design support to Rheem Vietnam’s new and existing products through:
• Maintenance of the Rheem Design Control system including generation and distribution of drawings and Change Management notices associated with the material or product.
• Designing, Prototyping, testing and industrialization of components & products.
• Providing 3D CAD support.
• Assist in the industrialization of new products.
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
The incumbent shall be part of a team controlling materials, components, assemblies and finished products manufactured or purchased by the Rheem Vietnam operations, and be primarily responsible to:
• As instructed, develop Concept Plans, preliminary models/drawings for new R&D projects.
• Provide detailed engineering designs and 3D modelling new and existing products under the direction from project managers both within and outside of R&D.
• Create and maintain product drawings using CAD. Drawings must conform to good engineering standards.
• Maintain orderly filing of drawing office documentation.
• Preparation and maintenance of Design Control Documentation, including
Create and maintain Bills of Materials and ERP establishment for new or modified components and product as detailed in accompanying change notices and drawings.
Drawings, control and maintenance.
Manage the CI-PCR Product Change Request project register
Technical Specifications for components and finished products.
• Carry out other tasks as directed.
• Manage PPAP sample submission and approval. Carry out product and component validation test and measurement according to WI.
• Prototype and test components and products to ensure required performance levels are met.
• Benchmark competitors’ products.
• Supporting the approvals process for certification and compliance of new and existing products.
• Compile temporary and permanent change notices in a manner that clearly communicates the requirement of the change.
• Assist sales and marketing in the creation and maintenance of product manuals, installation instructions, service manuals and data sheets.
• Monthly status reporting
• Participate in ‘Cost Down’ projects
• Distribute temporary and permanent change notices to relevant recipients in the organization by hard copy and electronically.
Special Projects
• Support in the maintenance of all types of Plant/Factory Layouts,

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Materials (Polymer / Metal)
3 years experience in Heat pump/Fridge/Water heater
Electronic Circuit Design (PCBA)
Or have experience in the fields: 5 years
Mold design / design for plastic injection (injection molding), or stamping of sheet metal (Metal press machine)
• Experience in 3D CAD design (Inventor preferred)
• Bachelor degree in Mechatronics/ Mechanical or related engineering
• Computer literacy, including experience in the use of:
• Word processing software (preferably Microsoft Word); and
• Electronic spreadsheets (preferably Microsoft Excel).
• A strong ability to communicate both verbal and written to all levels - from shop floor to senior management.
• Competency:
• Strong planning, organizing and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic.
• An ability to work on multiple projects within tight timeframes.
• An ability to work and achieve results within a team environment.
• Ability to communicate, speak and write English would be an advantage, but not essential.
• An ability to manage and complete complex product design projects.
