Onboard Software Engineer

*CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Modeling and simulating test environment
• Attend overseas training classes to be an expert in space technologies, as per project.
• Turn model and simulations into usable Flight Software
• Design software at architecture, detail levels with UML.
• Implement spacecraft avionics software
• Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
• Implement simulation and modeling components for verification and integration
• Implement software for automated testing at component, functional, and system levels, including HITL (Hardware in the Loop) testing
• Create thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
• Designing and implementing sensor fusion techniques (e.g., via Kalman Filters) typical with spacecraft platforms
• Developing Onboard software, including Flight software, networking software, and integration & controlling with C/C++/Python on Unix-based environments, Visual C++ or Java on Windows.

- Qualifications:
• Engineering (or comparable background knowledge)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or STEM relevant to a good grade qualification is required.
- Experience
• At least five years of professional experience required
• Prefer candidates with real application development experience
- Knowledge
• Demonstrated experience in writing avionics software, control software, or any other actual application software.
• Good understanding of OS architecture, scheduling, and process management
• Good knowledge of computer architecture, ISO model, especially about TCP & UDP/IP stack.
• Strong analytical skills, fast comprehension, and understanding of complex avionics system concepts
- Skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Master user skills about bash, the file system on Ubuntu, Redhat, Centos.
• Experience in System/Software/Hardware development lifecycle required
• Familiar with OOP, react programming. Fluent with C, C++, or FPGA on Linux distro such as Ubuntu, VxWorks, RTOS…
• Problem-solving abilities
• Adept in some programming language and environment: C99/C++11 or Python preferable
• Professional experience with software product development using SCRUM techniques of the agile software development process
• Familiar with version control tools: git, svn, Redmine, Jira, MS office applications.
- Foreign language
• Having at least TOEIC 650 or equivalent.
• Second foreign language is an advancement
