***Job Purpose:
The packing manager will manage and oversee the packaging staffs on designated shift to achieve operational objective for the Ducati Factory in Long Thanh, Dong Nai. He/she will maintain and ensure compliance to packaging schedule, assign specific tasks to all employees and monitor all packing equipment’s and supplies.
***Job duties & Responsibility:
•Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials (Pack, weigh, and label completed items) for storage or shipment: Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements which follows all company guidelines regarding packaging.
•Manage all work according to packing schedule and maintain an inventory of materials and completion of all projects with required timeframe.
•Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications
•Leads and manages package engineering workgroup - assigns tasks and trains packaging engineers, technicians and temporary lab workers
•Develops enterprise packaging strategies for product design, sustainability, cost and other requirements
•Collaborates with other managers to develop functional capabilities and improve internal skill sets
•Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, etc.
•Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse.
•Researches, designs and develops packaging systems for products
•Employs effective practices to achieve robust quality attributes and low cost, with easy manufacture and assembly
•Participates in line trials of new components
•Provides technical support to manufacturing for trouble shooting packaging problems
•Investigates and identifies test method improvement opportunities
•Maintains reference materials current to regulations, standards, practices, materials, etc.
•Coordinates assembly of packaging/product to test at outside labs/vendors
•Develops and assigns pallet patterns to finished goods.
