Phó Trưởng Phòng Phát Triển Sản Phẩm Home Care

Main job purpose:
Assisting and inputting into the R&D product development program for the Home Care (HC) Category. Supporting/leading innovations to ensure they are executed on time and that other key development/improvement initiatives for the category meet the requirement of the business.
Key accountabilities:
Innovation and product improvement - supporting role
- Guides and supports the achievement of success criteria for innovation/improvement projects – product performance/acceptance, gross margin and on time in full delivery.
- Assists in coordinating tasks/activities across:
- functions in R&D: CTI, process development, packaging, system/spec, regulatory/micro & research platforms
- internal innovation partners such as Marketing and Supply Chain
in achieving the above.
- Provides input in setting the product and technology direction for innovation in HC,
Formulation design
- Manages, coaches & develops members of the HC product development team, supporting them in project execution.
- Provides input and direction on components & processes of product formulations and claims so they are in compliance with the local regulatory environment.
- Cooperates with packaging to ensure a safe and positive interaction between product & packaging (as well as the delivery of the product determined by packaging materials/designs).
- Provides inputs/directions into optimum formulation & technological processes from a consumer sensory, preservation, etc. as well as financial point of view.
- Partners with CTI in developing the technical product/concept insight and manages the successful transfer of it into the formulation.
- Fully operational in understanding technologies to deliver formulations for innovation/improvement projects to meet the product success criteria and deliver winning products on time in full.
- Assists in the delivery of sustainable and reliable laboratory development processes, partnering with Process Development to ensure that products can effectively scaled up in the pilot plant & mass production.
- Understands and explores Vietnamese HC habits and rituals and as appropriate proposes new consumer/formulation opportunities.

Education /Experience:
Education - ideally Master’s degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Phyto-Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Small Team Leadership and people development are keys to this role as well as working under pressure.
Competencies
Risk Assessment and Six Sigma methodology and/or experience are important.
At least 7 years experience and 5 years management experience in a Home Care Development/Quality function.
